The Role of Teacher and Students in Multimedia English Teaching in Junior High School
摘 要:随着教育理论的发展和中学英语教学改革的深化,多媒体教学作为一种现代 化的教学手段已经步入英语教学课堂。本文利用文献分析法对初中生心理认知发展的特征和多媒体教学的特征进行分析,提出了在新的教学模式下学生是学习者和课堂的中心,教师是课堂教学的管理者、学生学习的合作者、教学的评价者和教学研究的实践者。即而指出了多媒体教学向初中英语教师提出了新的挑战,要求教师和学生的角色在课堂教学中实现有效的平衡。本研究将有助于提高初中英语教学的课堂效果,为英语多媒体教学研究提供有价值的参考。

Abstract:With the development of educational theory and the reform of English, multimedia English teaching has entered the classroom as a modern teaching method. By analyzing the characteristics of the development of junior high school students’ psychological cognition and the characteristics of multimedia teaching, this paper puts forward the main role of students in the new teaching mode by adopting the method of language analysis. It also points out that teacher is not only the curriculum designer, but also teaching evaluator, controller, center and students’ cooperator. Multimedia teaching in junior middle school English teaching presents new challenges for teacher. At the same time the role of teacher and students in classroom teaching should achieve an effective balance. This study will help to improve the effect of English teaching in junior high school, and provide valuable reference for English teaching study.

The Role of Teacher and Students in Multimedia English Teaching in Junior High School
I. Introduction
English teaching model based on multimedia has been universally accepted and widely used. Multimedia refers to the use of computer technology, which has its own advantages in terms of graphics, text, sound, image, etc. and can implement a form of interactive teaching. Multimedia teaching has the following characteristics: (1) Being intuitive. Multimedia can provide abundant, vivid and visual materials for learners so as to stimulate students’ interest in learning and strengthen the understanding of knowledge; (2) Being repeatable. Multimedia can help sound recording, video recording, playback and has other functions to help learners to solve some key and difficult problems, to learn and discuss interesting issues. Especially the English word pronunciation, sentence stress, weak sounds can be replayed by the students themselves to imitate and practice; (3) Being multichannel. Which means that the multimedia can complete visual, hearing and other channels of information dissemination so as to effectively attract the attention of students, activate a number of senses such as their eyes, ears, mouth, hands and threw themselves into the study.
With the help of computer, multimedia teaching has become an advanced and innovative teaching mode. Multimedia teaching in the teaching process updates and optimizes the traditional slide projector, audio, video and other electronic media and some teaching form, means, method, and environment. The use of multimedia technology in the digital system of modern computer technology based on a variety of media, text, graphics, images, sound, animation, video and other information, carries out comprehensive application, so that teaching has a strong sense of reality and performance for teachers to provide an interactive teaching environment to promote students’ active thinking and exploration and the formation of interactive teaching mode of opening, perse and efficient modern multimedia teaching refers to the process of using multimedia computer to make multimedia teaching software to complete teaching activities. Multimedia teaching course ware has many excellent characteristics, which shows the incomparable superiority in the teaching.
