浅析小班教学对初中生英语学习动机的影响

摘要:实行小班化教学是教学个性化的一种重要形式,特别是在基础教育领域。随着我国教育界对小班化教学模式的不断完善,小班教学已经越来越符合我国教育发展的需求了。本文从小班化教学特点出发,以初中学生为研究对向,提出小班化教学的出现对提高传统教学质量具有重要意义。从小班的教学模式出发,提出小班教学的核心是“小班”这一理念,进一步研究新课标下小班化教学的优势,进而讨论小班化教学对学生英语学习动机的影响。通过总结小班化教学的经验,发现小班化教学是提高教学质量和培养学生学习动机的有效教学方法。

Abstract:Small-class teaching is an important form of inpidualized teaching, especially in the field of basic education. With the continuous improvement of small-class, small-class teaching has been more and more in line with the development of our country’s education. From the depth of the small-class teaching characteristics, this article regards the junior high school students as the research direction. The small-class teaching is of great significance to improve the quality of teaching. At the same time, starting from the mode of the small-class teaching, the article puts forward the concept of small-class teaching as the core of small-class. Then, under researching of the new curriculum standard, the advantages of the small-class teaching have become obviously. Finally, the article discusses the effect of small-class teaching on student’s English learning motivation. By summing up the experience of the small-class teaching, the article finds that small-class teaching is an effective teaching method to improve the teaching quality and cultivate students’ learning motivation.

The Effect of Small-Class Teaching on Junior High School Students’ English Learning Motivation

I. Introduction

Since the 20th century, small-class teaching enjoys the popularity of fashion. So does China. In recent years, many primary and secondary schools have to imitate the foreign mode by reducing class number, reducing class size, and altering the environment of the class, so as to get a better teaching effect.

The full time compulsory education and junior high school English curriculum standard will cultivate the students’ emotional attitude. It makes a classification for the target description. “It clearly points out that the attitudes of emotion which includes interest, motivation, confidence, perseverance and cooperative spirit and play important roles in students’ learning. It especially stresses that the teachers should guide the students to turn their interest into learning motivation in the junior high school”(Ministry of Education 5). It can help them establish a strong self-confidence. Learning motivation is the inner strength to promote learning, and it is an important factors to provide motivation and direction for learners to learn. It is the core of the learning process. At the same time, it directly influences the class reform of the students. Thus, English learning motivation plays an important role in the whole process of learning.
