摘 要:小学阶段的英语教育属于启蒙性的,此阶段开设英语课是启蒙性课程。但由于种种原因,小学英语课堂教学存在着很多问题,教材单一,教学形式单一,班级规模过大,课堂师生互动不足,教学效果不理想等。农村小学英语教学成为制约农村整体教学水平的瓶颈。为了解决该问题,本文根据对河南省周口市商水县卢庙小学的英语课堂教学现状的调查情况,分析其形成原因,并且结合该领域先驱的意见和建议,提出合理的解决方案。旨在提高农村英语课堂教学水平,并唤起社会各界对农村英语课堂教育的关注和重视。

Abstract:English Teaching in primary school is on its starting stage, so to offer English class in primary school is an enlightening course. However, there are such problems as single teaching materials, single teaching forms, large class size, insufficient interaction between teachers and pupils, and the unsatisfactory teaching effect and so on existing in primary school English classroom teaching due to various reasons. The rural primary school English teaching has become a bottleneck restricting the overall teaching level in rural areas. To solve the problems, this paper mainly probes into the current situation of English classroom teaching in rural primary school by taking Lumiao Primary School in Shangshui County Zhoukou City Henan Province as an example, analyzes the reasons for the problems, and puts forward feasible countermeasures based on the ideas and suggestions of the pioneers in this field, the aim of which is to improve the English classroom teaching in rural primary school, and to draw the concern and attention of people from all walks of life to rural English classroom teaching.

On the Current Situation and Countermeasures of English Classroom Teaching in Rural Primary School

I. Introduction

With the development of society and economic globalization, English has become an important tool for China’s opening up and international communication, it is also a way of learning the western culture and science and getting access to the world’s information. So Chinese Ministry of National Education issued The Guidance on Actively Promoting to Offer English Course in Primary School, “From August 2011, the primary school in the city and county should offer English course, and in August 2012, English course should be gradually offered in the primary school in the town all over the country. The starting time of primary school English class is generally from Grade Three” (1).
