合作学习模式在中学英语教学中的应用简析

A Brief Analysis of Cooperative Learning Model in English Teaching of Middle School


摘 要:对于中学必修课之一的英语课,以往的教学模式不仅会导致课堂学习的气氛压抑,还会让学生产生一些不良情绪。如何活跃课堂气氛,激发学生的学习积极性,是英语教师需要考虑的重要问题。论文采用实验和问卷调查的形式,通过对古县中学九年级学生英语成绩的调查,分析了合作学习方式对中学生英语学习的影响。通过分析,作者认为合作学习够激发学生的英语学习兴趣,培养学生的创新精神、合作精神以及交往能力,从而能对中学英语教学提供一定的指导。

Abstract:English is regarded as one of compulsory courses in junior high school, the former teaching model not only causes the atmosphere of classroom to be depressed, but also causes the students to have some bad feelings. How to activate the classroom atmosphere and stimulate students’ learning enthusiasm is an important question that English teachers must consider. The paper adopts the form of experiment and questionnaire, and analyzes the influence of cooperative learning model in middle school students’ English learning through the investigation of the English scores of ninth-grade students in Guxian Middle School. Through analyzing, the author considers that cooperative learning inspires students’ interest in English, cultivates students’ innovative spirit, cooperation spirit and communication ability which can provide certain guidance for English teaching in middle school.

A Brief Analysis of Cooperative Learning Model in English Teaching of Middle School

I. Introduction

At present, the national communication is becoming increasingly close, and English, as the most widely used language in the world, is becoming more and more important. China is attaching more and more importance to English education, and English has become an important course even in the primary stage of compulsory education. But now the English talents in China are still very scarce. It is generally believed that this kind of situation is caused by the long-term traditional education pattern.

In China, English education is still the main position of school education. However, the long-term exam-oriented education model led to most of the schools only pay attention to students’ academic performance. Under the guidance of this model, the teacher is the center of the classroom, ignores to improve students’ learning initiative and enthusiasm in the process of imparting knowledge. As a result, students can only be taught by teachers. This type of teaching model hinders the development of students’ autonomous learning ability and innovation ability, makes the enthusiasm of students’ learning efficiency decline, and violates the original intention of education, influences the cultivation of talents.

The Decision on Basic Education Reform and Development was officially released on May 29, 2001. The decision values on students’ learning style, puts forward to encourage cooperative learning clearly, promotes the communication between students and teachers, cultivates cooperation consciousness, promotes the formation of the harmonious relationship between teachers and students.
