On the Contrast of the Differences Between Chinese and British Wine Culture
摘 要:酒是人类最古老的饮品之一,它的历史几乎伴随人类文化进化史。在几千年的文明史中,酒几乎渗透到社会生活的各个领域。酒不仅在人类生活和文化中有着独特的地位,而且在世界各国也形成了风格迥异的酒文化。随着中英两国交流的扩大,中英文化之间的酒文化的差异也越来越受到重视。本文主要通过酒的起源,酒的种类,酒礼以及酒的精神内涵四个方面来论述中英的酒文化差异。通过对比了解中英酒文化的差异,使中英两国更好的进行跨文化交流。

Abstract:Wine is one of the oldest beverages in the human history, and almost with human cultural evolution history. In the history of civilization for thousands of years, wine almost penetrated into every field of human social life. The wine has a unique status not only in human life and culture, but also formed different styles of wine culture in the world. With the expansion of exchanges between China and Britain, the differences of Chinese and British wine culture has become more attention. This paper is transmitted four aspects of origins, preferences, vessels, etiquettes and spirit connotation of wine to discuss the differences of wine cultural between China and Britain. Through comparing and understanding the differences of wine culture that can make better cross-culture communication both China and Britain.

On the Contrast of the Differences Between Chinese and British Wine Culture
I. Introduction
Both China and Britain, wine cultures play a crucial role in people's daily life. Wine likes blood which flow in each national culture. Since the wine came into being, it contributes to abundant cultural intension of human social life. People have the habit of drinking, no matter in China or Britain. But from different cultural background of Chinese and British, Chinese and British wine cultures also show different characteristics. In Chinese culture, wine is a kind of cultural consumption, as a family party, tasted drink can create atmosphere and promote the relationship. Recorded in the bible, Jesus Christ shared wine to his disciples at the last supper, then telling them that wine is his own blood. He let people remember of his death for atoning for people's crimes. In the eyes of British, the wine is a special artwork and has a charm and life. Thus it can be seen, in the long history of human culture, the wine is not only as a substance, but also an emblem of culture. It is accompanied by the development of human civilization and formed its own unique culture, wine culture.
Wine culture was initially put forward by famous economist professor Yu (Yang 82). Afterwards, many researchers constantly replenished and perfected to its contents, one of the most iconic books is the charm of sublimation, wine culture of the Chinese nation of Mr. Xiao. He made an explanation for wine culture from the point of view of natural science and social science. He points out that the “wine culture” is around the wine and produced the summation of phenomenon of a series of material, craft, spiritual, custom, psychological, and behavior. As a kind of drink, wine permeated almost every facet of human social life. Either for the sake of friendship and marriage celebration, or communication negotiation and people cannot leave the wine. So to speak, drinking is the cultural phenomenon shared by people all over the world. Everywhere has wine in the world. Different places have different wine, while different wine permeate a different wine culture, and make it present a different style and colorful ethnic features.
