The so-called artistic ideorealm has already existed in ancient China. It not only originated long ago and has a long history, but it is unique to our Chinese nation. It can even be said that artistic ideorealm is an important symbol of our national art that stands out from other ethnic art. It is deeply embossed in our national aesthetic ideals, aesthetic tastes and aesthetic psychology, it is embodied in all aspects of our national culture. In the main form of ancient literature - poetry, it is impossible to leave the artistic ideorealm, and the artistic ideorealm has almost become the persistent pursuit of the literati.

Artistic ideorealm is an important concept in traditional Chinese culture and has always been regarded as an aesthetic pursuit by Chinese scholars. It exists extensively in various fields. In poetry, painting, sculpture, architecture, and dance, people can see people’s pursuit of artistic ideorealm. And these different works of art often use artistic ideorealm as their life. If they lose the flavor and the creation of artistic ideorealm, everything will be eclipsed. It can be said that artistic ideorealm, as an aesthetic advocacy, has been deeply accumulated in the artistic and cultural psychology of the Chinese nation, and has gradually become an unconscious state that may infiltrate into art works at any time. In many fields of art, the most direct and widespread pursuit and expression of artistic ideorealm is in the literature works, especially in our ancient poetry. This paper only discusses the concept of artistic ideorealm in ancient poetry and does not discuss the artistic ideorealm in other artistic fields.

Artistic ideorealm is so important and widespread. So how do we define the concept of artistic ideorealm? This is precisely where the academic world is currently plagued. The conception itself is complicated and confusing. Everyone has a different point of view, which increases the difficulty of defining it. It can be said that everyone is aware of the artistic ideorealm, but no one can explain it clearly. Mr. Zhou Gucheng once said that it is very mysterious and not easy to understand (1989). Of course, from a different angle of understanding, the absence of a definite definition also gives it its immortal vitality. It can be seen that an accurate definition of artistic ideorealm is not an easy task. The paper here does not intend to discuss the concept of artistic ideorealm, nor does he dare to attempt to define the artistic ideorealm. However, since this paper involves artistic ideorealm, it is still necessary to give a relatively reasonable definition of artistic ideorealm. The paper refers to Mr. Xia Zhaoyan's book An Overview of Artistic Conception. Xia analyzed many definitions of artistic ideorealm. Combining the characteristics of artistic ideorealm and Mr. Zong Baihua’s description, the following definition is made for artistic ideorealm. Artistic ideorealm is an artistic realm formed by the integration of the objective picture depicted in the literary and artistic works with the expressed thoughts and feelings. With the aesthetic characteristics of virtual reality, harmony of meaning and context, and profound understanding, readers can be imagined and associative. It can make readers feel like they are in the environment, and they are infected with the author’s thoughts and feelings. If they are in their environment, they are infected with their thoughts and feelings. Artistic ideorealm is a kind of poetic space where the scenes blend.
