At the beginning of this book, the author wrote: “Woman is born free men, and men have equal rights.” But two years later the author was sent to the guillotine by his former male colleagues. Until the 19th century, the first wave of the woman’s liberation movement began to rise, the focus of the debate is to require gender include all of the life course equality between men and women, also is the equality of the sexes. But the Feminist literary theory produced in the late 20th century, with the expansion of this doctrine, in literature, film, theater art, has come out and more works promoting women’s rights. The American film industry began to appear a lot of feminist films from 1970 to 1980, many excellent actress also left many popular works in in this period. Such as Vanessa and Jane Fonda starred in Julia (describing the anti-Nazi heroine’s life story), Sally Field’s Deep Heart (the description of the story of strong women in rural areas) and Jessica Lange’s Francis (describing the confrontation of Hollywood character actress tragic story). The main reasons for the formation of this fad is the feminist thinking and women’s liberation movement in the United States since the 1970s, on the other hand thanks to this group of outstanding actress, they unwilling to serve as a vase in the movies, they are willing to challenge a complex and deep female characters, of course, also let us have learned their elaboration of fruitful results.
