浅析情景教学法在小学英语课堂中的应用

On the Application of Situational Teaching Method in English Class at Primary Schools


摘 要:小学英语课堂教学要求小学英语教学的重点应放在培养学生用英语进行交流的能力和兴趣上。因此,使小学课堂教学模式进一步优化,进而提高小学生的英语交际的能力,是很多英语教师面临的主要问题。本论文运用实例调查法研究了情境教学法在小学英语课堂中的应用。首先,回顾了小学英语课堂的教学现状,并分析其中所存在的问题和原因。然后,介绍了本研究的理论框架。最后,我们基于情境教学法对小学英语课堂进行教学设计。情境教学法在小学英语课堂中的应用有利于调动学生的积极性和主动性,激发学生的学习动机,也有助于增进师生情感。同时,对完善小学英语口语教学方式,提高小学英语教学质量和效果也有积极的作用。

Abstract:In the requirement of English class at primary school, training students’ abilities and interests in communication in English is regarded as the important point of primary English teaching. Therefore, optimizing the primary school class teaching mode and improving primary students’ abilities to communicate in English are the major problems for many English teachers. By adopting case study method, this paper studies the application of situational teaching method in the primary school English class. Firstly, it’s a review of the present situation of primary school English class teaching and the existing problems. And then it introduces the theoretical background. Finally, it’s a teaching design on the primary school English class based on situational teaching method. The application of the situational teaching method in the primary school English class is helpful to arouse the enthusiasm and initiative of the students, stimulate students’ learning motivation and enhance the relationship between teachers and students. Meanwhile, it can also improve the teaching mode of oral English in primary school and the quality of teaching.

On the Application of Situational Teaching Method in English Class at Primary Schools

I. Introduction

   The constructivist theory believes that learning is a process in which the learner constructs meaning based on his or her own experiences and what he or she already knows. John Dewey holds that teaching should be built based on what learner already knew and engaged in learners in learning activities. Teachers need to design environments and interact with learners to foster inventive, creative, critical learners. It is clear that a successful English teaching should be create more actual situation in the class so that students can have more opportunities to apply language materials what they have learned. The application of situational teaching method in English class at primary schools can help us to arouse the students’ interest and initiative in English learning. At the same time, situational teaching method design interesting situations and actual language environment in different lively ways which is the critical factor to learn English. It is good for teachers to improve the quality of teaching. However, after analysis of significance, we should make sure the objective of the paper to better understand.
