摘要：语言既是文化交流的工具，也是文化思维的载体。随着中西方的发展和合作以来，人们对中西文化差异有了初步的认识，并且也逐渐认识到英语学习的重要性，但是由于中西方文化存在一定的差异，所以在英语的学习过程中就产生了一定的障碍。本论文的目的是解决在英语学习时所遇到的困难，以便更好的掌握学习英语的技巧。第一部分主要介绍中西文化差异，第二部分是导致中西文化差异形成的经济和地理原因，第三部分是中西文化差异导致的中西语言不同和不同表达方式，第四部分是了解中西文化差异，如何利用这些差异克服在英语学习过程中遇到的障碍，第五部分是进行总结。从不同方面对比中西方文化的差异，并从这些差异中探讨如何学好英语，并通过查阅文献以及自己的亲身经验，提出一些解决办法，为使英语学习变的更轻松。

Abstract：Language is both a cultural tool, and also the carrier of culture thinking. With its development and cooperation, people have a preliminary understanding of Cultural Differences, and also come to realize the importance of learning English. However, there are some differences in the Chinese and Western culture, so the process of learning English is very difficult. The purpose of this paper is to solve the difficulties in learning English, in order to learn English well. The first part introduces the differences between Chinese and Western cultures. The second part is the economic and geographic reasons which cause the differences between Chinese and western culture. The third part is the expression of Chinese and Western cultural difference. The fourth part is understand the differences between Chinese and Western cultures, and give some advice about how to use these differences to overcome the obstacles encountered in the process of learning English. The fifth part is conclusion. From different aspects of comparisons between Western and Chinese culture, the author discusses how to learn English well according to these differences. With the consult literature and the experience in learning English, the author puts forward some solutions, to make learning English easier.

Differences between Chinese and Western Culture and English Learning Disabilities

I. Introduction

With the development of society, the importance of English is more and more prominent. English as one of the most important information carrier has become the language in various fields of human life. The linguists of DORA states: “We will not be able to teach the language if we don’t know the cultural background, the language is part of culture, and therefore we can’t understand the cultural patterns and standards, it is impossible to really learn the language.” English plays an important role in the success of the new language in cultural differences of language communication and learning. Along with the pace of reform and opening up, the increase of the scale of English education in China, the English teaching has made remarkable achievements. But the current situation of English education is not successful. We must deeply understand the differences between Chinese and western culture to learn English well. Since the 1990s, people have realized the difference between Chinese and western culture from different levels and different point of view. In recent years, the studies of Chinese and Western cultural differences have been published increasingly, whose purpose is to help us learn English well.
