摘 要:随着经济全球化与国际贸易的飞速发展,国际贸易合同作为商务领域重要的沟通方式之一,不仅关系到合作能否顺利进行,更加承载着交易双方额直接经济利益。因此,能否对国际贸易合同进行准确而恰当的翻译就成为决定合作成败的关键。本文从文化差异视角来探讨国际贸易合同的翻译策略。重点分析了中西方文化差异以及文化差异中怎样提高贸易合同的翻译技巧等,目的在于帮助贸易双方顺利的进行国际贸易合作。

Abstract:With the rapid development of economic globalization and international trade, international business trade contract is an important way of communication. It can not only influence the successful trade, but also carry the cooperation parties’ direct economic benefits. Therefore, it is the key to decide the success or failure of the international trade contract under the condition that whether it can make an accurate and appropriate translation of international trade contract or not. So this paper will discuss the translation strategies of international trade contracts from the perspective of cultural differences. It focuses on the analysis of the differences between Chinese and Western culture and how to improve the translation skills of the trade contract, which aims to help both sides to carry out the international trade cooperation smoothly.

I. Introduction

The rapid development of international trade has created a great demand for international trade contracts. Cultural difference has always been a major problem in English translation. People tend to have different views on the same thing, which has a profound impact on the translation of the language and cultural exchanges. In the translation process, you may encounter some words or expressions inevitably, which is because the cultural difference has key influence on translation. When using some translation strategies and comparison method to translate culture, we will find that a successful translation is to pay attention to cultural differences in the details making it accord with the article’s original flavor and cultural information. Therefore, translation is actually a process of culture transformation. With China’s efforts to strengthen, in recent years foreign trade legal system construction, the English translation of legal, economic and trade has been paid more and more attention. Therefore, it is necessary to the study, cultural differences in international trade contract status is very important, if we want to realize the global economic integration, understand the differences between eastern and western cultures, understand the cultural differences, pay attention to cultural differences. For example, Coca-Cola, when Coca-Cola first entered the Chinese market, but also because of cultural differences led to poor sales. Early in the Chinese translation Coca-Cola is “蝌蝌啃蜡”. Strange names make it bad sales.
