教师角色转变对小学英语教育的影响

The Influence of Teachers' Role Change on Primary School English Teaching


摘 要:新课程改革对教育各方面都提出了新的要求,包括教学理念、教学方法、教学内容等等。教师作为教育三要素中的关键一部分,必然需要顺应改革的趋势。新课程的实践要求教师转变角色观,这是新课程改革的关键,也是社会发展的必然,所以角色的转变已成为新课程下教师面临的一个新课题。

本文以小学英语教育为例,来探讨教师角色转变的重大影响。首先,本文介绍了教师角色转变的背景和角色转变的定义;其次,阐述了国内外研究现状以及传统的教师角色以及传统角色下的误区;然后,从教师、学生、学校和社会三个层面来讨论对教师角色转变的制约,分析影响教师角色转变的因素;接着,根据新课程改革从四种不同的关系(例如教师和课程的关系)对教师角色转变提出要求。本文列举了四种符合新课改的教师角色,并由此总结教师角色转变对小学英语教育的重大影响,分别从学生的学习技能、教育的进一步改革以及社会的文化氛围三个点;最后,总结全文并对教师角色转变提出自己的拙见。

The Influence of Teachers' Role Change on Primary School English Education

Abstract:New Curriculum Reform makes new requirements for all aspects of education, including teaching concepts, teaching methods, and teaching contents, etc. As one key piece of three elements of education, teachers must adapt to the reforming trend. The practice of the New Curriculum requires teachers to change the concept of role, which is the key to the reform of the new curriculum, but also the inevitable social development, so the change of role has become a new topic for teachers under the new curriculum.

In this article, primary English education is used as an example to explore a great impact of Teachers' Role Change. First of all, this paper introduces background and the definition of Role Change. Next, it states the research status and traditional roles of teachers including possible existing misunderstanding among people's traditional concepts. Then, this article analyzes its influential factors through discussing the limitation of Teachers' Role Change among teachers, students, school and society. What's more, New Curriculum Reform offers constant requirement according to four different relationships, such as the relationship between teachers and curriculum. This paper lists four teachers' roles met the need of New Curriculum Reform, and it summarizes the significance of Teachers' Role Change for primary English education from students' learning skills, further education reform and culture atmosphere of society. At last, there is a summary and some suggestions for teachers.

1.1 Background

China's Ministry of Educational published the “Reform Program for Basic Curriculum (trial)” in 2001, vigorously promoting the reform of basic education, and wanted to build a new basic education curriculum system meeting the requirements of quality education. After several years' development, the New Curriculum Reform has made a great progress on different aspects of education. Teachers, as one of the three elements of education, play an important role in innovation. So the problems about Teachers' Role Change or what kind of role teacher should be attract people's attention. Primary English teachers as one part of this system urgently need to remodel their own roles.
