This view of teachers' role is the most traditional opinion. In the past, Socratic Method was so famous for its elicitation method of teaching. But now, Students go to school to study from their teacher. And teachers teach them, solve their questions and last teach them how to be a man. They just pour their knowledge easily to students no matter how well students can accept. Besides, they don't pay more attention to students' different level of learning ability, ignoring their initiative. It seems a unidirectional teaching process that teachers give a man a fish.
