2.1 Definition of Emotional Attitude
What is the emotion? Just as its name implies, emotion refers to the emotional psychological process of inner experience and feelings. It is a kind of psychological activity, which has profound and lasting stability, just like the firmly family relationship and solid friendship. Emotions make people feel the long and profound human justice and wonderful feelings “Psychology dictionary” defined as, “Emotion is the attitude experience which is arising from judgment about whether one of objective things meet their needs.” At the same time, common General psychology course also says, “emotions and mood are held by the people of objective things attitude experience, except that the mood is more inclined to the inpidual needs and desires on the attitude of experience, and emotion are more likely in the attitude of social demand desire experience”. In the field of modern educational psychology, people generally believe that human emotion refers to the objective existence of things and reflect their subjective need; also it suggested that the human mind is the emotional perception of the world and the objective existence of things (Bandura 196).
The attitude is a stable psychological tendency of the inpidual to some particular object (people, ideas, emotions or events). This psychological tendency contains the subjective evaluation of the inpidual and the behavior tendency. Meyers (1993) pointed out that the attitude of institutions is involved in three dimensions: emotional, behavioral intentions and cognitive. That is the attitude of the ABC structure.
From the above definition we can know, a positive emotional attitude will make people change the cognitive activities, have a positive emotional experience, and thus make positive behavioral responses.
