   There are a wide variety of studies and researches on the effect of English strategies in English teaching in middle schools. Roughly, all of them think that teaching English strategies in middle schools is necessary. This paper puts middle school English strategies as a breakthrough point and analyzes the relationship between the reading strategies and the English teaching in middle schools. And secondly, this paper discusses the classification and main points about the reading strategies. The teachers and students are aware of the importance of the reading strategies in English reading comprehension. That is to say, this paper provides some suggestions for teachers and includes five parts. At the beginning, the paper introduces the background and significance of the reading strategies. The second part is the implication and classification about the reading strategies. In this part, it introduces some different English reading teaching strategies, such as the metacognitive strategy, the cognitive strategy, the summary strategy and so on. In the third part, the relationship between English reading strategies and the English teaching in middle schools are discussed, and then the main problems are presented. The fourth part gives plenty of suggestions to improve the application of reading strategies in English teaching in middle schools. At last, there is a conclusion about this paper.
