Abstract：At the end of the 20th century, J.K. Rowling climbed onto the historical and cultural stage and made a big splash. She created a total of seven works of the Harry Potter series and achieved great success. Her first Harry Potter series, Harry Potter and the Philosopher’s Stone, came out in 1997 and hit the top of the sales charts at an extraordinary rate. It was almost universal in the United States and the United Kingdom. The magical storyline and background setting not only attracted the children, but also let the adults indulge in it. The popularity of Harry Potter’s series of works reached its peak after the fourth work Harry Potter and the Goblet of Fire came out. The evaluation and articles about it are endless.

With the Harry Potter series gradually coming to an end, what people are most concerned about is no longer their magical and novel environment. The relationship between characters and storyline development has become a topic that readers are more willing to discuss in depth. The two protagonists of this best-selling work, Harry Potter and Lord Voldemort have become the center of discussion and chat-talk. They symbolize the most important representatives of the right and wrong sides of the work. From the beginning to the end, the fate of the two people has been intertwined with each other, inextricably linked, and this paper will analyze the cause and effect of Harry Potter and Voldemort from three aspects: childhood experience, family relationship and partner selection.

摘要：J.K.罗琳于20世纪末登上了历史文化舞台并且大放异彩，她创造了哈利波特系列作品一共七部，并且获得了巨大的成功。她的第一部哈利波特系列《哈利波特与魔法石》于1997年问世，并以非比寻常的速度问鼎销售榜单榜首，几乎是一夜之间在美国与英国风靡开来，魔幻的剧情与背景设定不仅吸引了孩子们，也让大人们沉醉于其中的奥妙废寝忘食。而哈利波特系列作品的热度，也在其第四部作品《哈利波特与火焰杯》问世以后达到巅峰，关于它的评价与文章层出不穷。

而随着哈利波特系列渐渐走向尾声，人们最关注的地方不再是其魔幻新颖的大环境，人物之间的关联与故事情节发展变成了读者们更愿意讨论深入的话题，而作为这本畅销作品的两大主人公，哈利波特与伏地魔更是成为了人们讨论的中心，他们象征着作品中最重要的正邪两方的代表，并且从开篇到终结，两人的命运一直互相交织缠绕，有着千丝万缕的联系，而本篇论文中，将从童年经历、家庭关系以及伙伴选择三个方面来浅析哈利波特与伏地魔结局的因果。

1 Introduction

J.K.Rawling showed up on the literary arena and shone in the late 20th century. She created seven series of novels of Harry Potter which achieved great commercial success. In 1997, Rawling published first series of Harry Potter —Harry Potter and the Philosophy’s Stone and this novel reached the top of the bestseller in a very short moment. “Harry Potter” series of novels quickly swept across the world, especially in the United States and the United Kingdom, not only attracted many children, but also attracted many adults to indulge them to sleepless nights. The cumulative sales reached more than 350 million in numbers of countries and regions. Eden Ross Lipson, editor of the New York Times children’s literature, thought that Rowling’s success is unprecedented in the English literary writers, American literary writers, even global writers’ literature.
