The heroic view of "Harry Potter" has changed the tragic spirit of Western tradition. Harry who shouldered the heroic mission in the book, was a young boy who lost his parents and had been fostered in his uncle's family. He suffered a lot in his childhood. When he was 11 years old, his destiny changed and his calm life was broken. He began a different life journey and he had to face the evil Voldemort. He bravely took the mission of revenge for the parents, saving the wizarding world. As a hero, Harry embodied the value and dignity of people’s tenacious resistance to tragedy.

Above the traditional view of hero, Rowling launched a reflection of modern temperament: what responsibility a small person shoulders in the times, and Harry and his Hogwarts students—Ron and Hermione—are inconspicuous. They are just ordinary wizards, living a quiet life. Suddenly, Voldemort appeared. They had to go through a dangerous battle just like the soldiers went to the battlefield. This was their responsibility which could not be avoided. They persevered and succeeded in proving their simple and valuable virtues: courage, and fearlessness, which made their friendship and love stronger. In the end, they became the hero who created history. Here, Rowling’s view is that weak people and powerful people can have the same self-expectation goals. Weak and small hands can accomplish great things, which is not about their ability, but their responsibilities.
